Maternity is best photographed at 32 – 36 weeks along in your pregnancy. At this time you are still comfortable enough to enjoy the session and have fun, and your bump has usually developed nicely. Connie Mintz Portrait Art offers both studio and on location maternity photography session
It is best to contact me a couple of months in advance, but I do save room in my schedule for those “last minute” sessions. We will schedule an in person consultation so that we can plan your session. If you have any poses or ideas that you particularly wish to have included in your session, this is a good opportunity to show me your inspiration. I will do my best to accommodate your request. Sessions will typically last 60 to 90 minutes depending on location, number of outfits chosen and whether partner and/or children will be included. Studio is good for dramatic lighting and more boudoir styling. Urban maternity photography is also fun and can bring a unique look to your session. Some locations require a bit of travel, so keep that in mind when considering your schedule. Additionally, if professional hair and makeup services are required I work with a few and can make referrals. I do recommend it for in studio sessions.
